Aligning state standards with our instruction is important for learning, but that’s only a part of teaching. Research tells us that students learn best in a classroom environment that supports self-regulation, choice, and a sense of community. Come along with me as we explore ideas for managing a Balanced Literacy classroom that supports this theory and get the year off to a great start! (Please note that this session will be an A.M. session but continue after lunch.)
